This artwork at its core is about protecting community. This is shown through the shield shaped barrier around the community. The central figure is a meeting circle, within this context it is about a board of directors, who are community elected. This process is displayed through the pathways leading to the central figure and is one of integrity and fairness, because the board of directors is truly reflective of the community that they represent. The individual people on the inside of the barrier are reinforcing it, doing their bit to protect community.
